Overview Of Feedback Therapy

Whenever you lift your hand to say hello to your loved ones, or lift your knee to take another step, you are able to control these actions as per your needs and preference. Other body functions such as skin, heart rate, blood pressure, etc. you are not able to control yourself.  You are not able to make your heart beat fast. It happens because of the response in the environment, such as when you are nervous, or when you are exercising or when you are excited about something.

Now the question arises, how do feedback therapy work?
Researchers are also not sure how or why feedback therapy work? They are not aware of that feedback promotes relaxation, which helps to relieve a number of conditions that are directly connected to stress.
During the therapy session, electrodes are directly attached to your body which can be sensed by your fingers. These sensors send signals to a monitor which displays sounds, light and image which represents your breathing rate, skin temperature, sweating, blood pressure, and your muscle activity.

Here are some common relaxation exercises which are used at the time of feedback therapy:
  • Deep breathing
  • Progressive relaxation of muscles- ones you tighten it and then makes it relax and are done alternatively.
  • Meditation- focus on your thoughts and let go all the negatives emotions from your mind.

The best given in San Diego Neurofeedback therapy.
